This book examines the early history of "Asianism" in detail, focusing on the thirty years from the Meiji Restoration in 1868 to the establishment of the East Asia Dobunkai in 1898; it sorts out the organizations and activities of relevant groups in chapters - these groups not only play a central role in understanding the ins and outs of Asiaticism, but their activities are a part that cannot be ignored in the modern history of East Asia. The text of the book is about 130,000 words, which was modified by the author on the basis of a series of articles in East Asia magazine (August 2001-March 2002), and some important matters and notes were added.
