This book is the representative work of Japanese science fiction writer Hao Takashi. It tells the story of a virtual world named Summer District after it was destroyed by invaders, and reveals a dirty historical secret. It includes two works: "Angel of the Lost Garden I: The Long Holiday" and "Angel of the Lost Garden II: The Scar Girl".

This collection of short stories includes four of Fei Haolong's early works. Among them, the short story of the same name "The Power of Concreteness" won the Best Short Story Award at the 36th Japan Nebula Awards, and the short story collection won the 26th Japan Science Fiction Awards. This work is the first novel in the "Abandoned Garden Angel" series, telling the story of "Summer Zone Boundary" in "Numerical Coast". Summer Zone is a virtual resort that exists on the server. The residents here are a group of AIs that operate according to established programs but have the same emotions as humans. It reveals the truth about the "Great Cutoff" that interrupted human access to the Summer Zone; it tells about the epoch-making technology that sends human "information simulations" into the virtual space, and how it gave birth to the virtual resort "Numerical Coast". This work has won honors: No. 1 In Hayakawa Shobo's "Best Science Fiction Japan of the Year" in 2006, Nomination for the 6th Gender Awareness Literature Award, and Nomination for the 28th Japan Science Fiction Awards.
