This book is a new work in the international Mongolian academic circle that systematically discusses the history of Mongolia. The author traces in detail the rise and prosperity of the Mongol Empire under Genghis Khan and his successors. The research focus of this book is the more than 350 years of rule of the Chagatai Khanate (1227-1580) in Central Asia and its relationship with neighboring regimes India and the Central Plains (the Yuan and Ming dynasties at that time).
