"The Classic of Mountains and Seas" is a classic geographical natural history of the ancient world. It consists of five volumes of "The Classic of Mountains", eight volumes of "The Classic of Seas", four volumes of "The Classic of Wilderness" and one volume of "The Classic of Seas", a total of 18 volumes, as well as "Pictures of the Classic of Mountains and Seas". Among them are many gods and animals, as well as alchemy rituals. Magnificent and colorful, people can forget themselves and enjoy the world. After Tao Yuanming read it, he wrote thirteen poems in "Reading the Classic of Mountains and Seas", exclaiming: "Reading the biography of the king of Zhou, looking at the mountains and seas. Looking down at the universe, what if I don't feel happy again!" Mr. Lu Xun's life-long love, "Flying to the Moon" and "Mending the Sky" in "New Stories" are all based on this book. This publication is based on the Chunxi edition of the Southern Song Dynasty, and is based on Hao Yixing's "Book of Mountains and Seas" in the twelfth year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty, Hanfenlou's photocopy of the Ming Zhengtong edition in the 10th year, and Wu Renchen's "Guangzhu" of the Book of Mountains and Seas on the Qianlong edition of the Qing Dynasty; the phonetic notation is based on the ancient pronunciation annotated by Guo Pu, with reference to Hao Yixing, Wang Niansun, Bi Yuan and others. The correct pronunciation is annotated at the top of the text; it is a complete collection of the five volumes of "The Classic of Mountains and Seas" collected by Wu Rencheng of Jin Chang Shuye Hall in the Qing Dynasty and 23 full-color selected pictures of birds and animals from the "Volume of Strange Birds and Beasts" in the Edo period of Japan; at the end of the article, Liu Xin's "Table of the Classic of Mountains and Seas" and Guo Pu's "Annotation of the Classic of Mountains and Seas" are attached.
