Her memory was like countless vague fragments. She could not piece together a complete picture. The beginning of the whole incident was not among these fragments. When she wakes up in the basement of a hospital, she discovers that her life has been turned upside down. No one has heard of her, and the world seems to have erased her existence. The Aachen criminal police received an anonymous report: a little girl was missing. The father of the missing girl is Lichner, a psychiatrist who was arrested for child murder more than ten years ago. But when the police officer who handled the case met him again, Lichner said that he had no children at all and insisted that he had never committed any crime. Criminal Inspector Menkhov and Police Officer Seifert are assigned to investigate a missing girl case. When the two knocked on the girl's door, they did not want to meet the prisoner Lichna they had personally captured.
