"Small Town" tells a story that happened in a small Italian city before World War I: An opera troupe was invited by the city lawyer Bellotti to perform for the first time in 48 years. This made the residents of the city eagerly awaiting and eager to watch, but the progress of the matter was not satisfactory. There were completely different opinions on the performance issue: the lawyer group representing the democratic forces advocated the performance, believing that it would bring vitality and business opportunities to the small town; the Father Don Taddeo group representing the conservative forces opposed the performance, believing that it would corrupt the city's morals and morals. Afterwards, some unexpected things did happen: the male citizens of the small town pursued the female singer of the troupe, and the tenor in the troupe fell in love with the most beautiful girl in the city at first sight. The most important thing was that the hidden contradictions in the small town were fully exposed at this opportunity... But in the end, the two opposing groups reached a reconciliation with Bellotti's efforts, the performance was a complete success, and the troupe also left the small town smoothly a few days later.
