Mysterious Island (classic Translation)

(french) Jules Verne

340K0

"The Mysterious Island" is the final work of the Ocean Trilogy by the French science fiction novelist Jules Verne, who is recognized as the "father of modern science fiction". The story takes place during the American Civil War. Five Union prisoners, led by Cyrus Smith, escaped in a balloon. They encountered a storm on the way and were thrown onto an uninhabited island in the South Pacific. They relied on their own wisdom and perseverance to survive tenaciously and built the island into a prosperous paradise. On the island, they were also secretly protected by Captain Nemo in "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea", who repeatedly saved the day from danger. Finally, they finally boarded the "Duncan" commanded by Robert Grant, the son of Captain Grant, and returned to the motherland they thought about day and night.
