Birds rained suddenly and repeatedly over the Normandy region of France. Dead birds fell from the sky, smashing the roofs of villagers and spreading all over the fields. A doctor of literature, who was thinking hard and unable to write a thesis, saw the media report and decided to rush to the place where the incident occurred to investigate. He boarded a cruise ship in Paris, where he met a beautiful woman who was the captain's assistant, made friends as a weapons and equipment engineer, and also made a love rival in an artist. The scenery on both sides of the Seine River draws a long scroll of history and geography.
