This book answers the question why the British Revolution of 1688-1689 is called the "Glorious Revolution" through a detailed analysis of the domestic and international situations faced before and after the British Revolution, especially the social, political and religious conditions in Britain. The author believes that the weakness of the British royal family, the strength of Protestantism, and the existence of external forces such as France allowed Britain to avoid violent revolution. Pointing out that this was not only a bloodless revolution, but more importantly, it laid the foundation for Britain's later democratic parliamentary government and religious freedom, marking the end of the feudal dynasty represented by James' plan to establish an autocratic monarchy.
