This book contains two novellas by Movassile Sklia: "Marcos and the Cats" (1981) and "Kafka's Leopard" (2000). Marcos, the protagonist of "Marcos and the Cats", is the son of a fur trader. He always hides in the fur warehouse, writing diaries and watching "Little Peter Goes to Brazil". Finally, he had a lover and friends, but because the Nazis were in power, he had to abandon everything and board a cargo ship to Brazil. This was a "black-hearted" ship. The ship sank, and Marcos found that only he and a jaguar were left on the vast sea. The protagonist of "Kafka's Leopard" is a little mouse living in Porto Alegre, Brazil. He is a skilled tailor. No one knows that when he was young, he accepted the instructions of his deceased friend and went to Prague alone to carry out a secret mission.
