Thirty-year-old Yousef woke up from his sleep, knowing that this was another day when nothing would happen. However, he saw "himself" standing opposite. "The Possession" is a Gothic novel written by Gombrowicz. The story tells the story of a young man, Walczak, who went to a farm in Poland to be a tennis partner for Miss Okhowowska. People around him were surprised to find that the two people with completely different social backgrounds were "extremely similar". Miss Okhowowska was engaged to Horawiecki, who was personal secretary to the owner of a nearby castle. The old castle where only three people live is not peaceful. When Walchak heard the mysterious rumors, he couldn't help but become more and more curious. He hoped to unlock the secrets hidden in the castle and also wanted to uncover the secrets in Miss Okhowowska's heart...

"Across the Atlantic", a semi-autobiographical satirical novel, is an important work by Gombrowicz and encompasses his thoughts on literature, philosophy, psychology and society. A writer also named Gombrowicz was stranded in Argentina when the German Nazis invaded his home country. Being penniless, he had to seek "support" from the Polish legation and the Polish community. His absurd experiences often make him trapped in the contradiction between his Polish identity and his refugee status. After experiencing a series of bizarre events, he became the contact person for a duel, and the minister also participated. The minister wanted to make the duel an event that showed the bloody nature of the Polish people...

The story of "Color" takes place in Poland during World War II. "I" and Frederick came to the countryside from the city and met a boy and girl by chance. They were deeply attracted to the boy and girl. This feeling was so strong that they wanted them to fall in love. "I" and Frederic were obsessed with the beauty of youth, snooping deeply at all costs, and planning to establish an intimate relationship by completing sinful things together, so they planned a murder.

"Bakakai Street" is the only collection of short stories in Gombrowicz's creative career, including ten short stories such as "The Party at the House of the Countess of Coteubail", "On the Kitchen Stairs" and "The Mouse". Bacakay Street is the name of a street where Gombrowicz lived in Buenos Aires. Years later, after re-reading these works, Gombrowicz still spoke highly of them. These short stories are also considered by critics to be the perfect introduction for readers into Gombrowicz's longer works.

"Cosmos" was published in 1965 and was Gombrowicz's last novel. Witold and his friend Fox were on vacation in Zakopane when a trivial incident caught Witold's attention: a sparrow was hung on a wire. They rented a guest room in the apartment of the Voydis family, Mrs. Voydis, a calm woman, while her husband, Leon, worked elsewhere. Witold found a small stick hanging on a string in the room. The stick, the string, the dead sparrow, and the branch were connected. It all adds up, so who's next? Why? The two try to solve the mystery, but in vain. Everything seemed chaotic, like the universe.
