Sallustius once wrote a "History of Rome", which recorded the major events in Rome from 78 BC to 67 BC. It is a pity that this work has never been found since it was lost. Only a few clues and fragments can be found in his other two works. The two works he handed down are: "Conspiracy of Catiline" (also translated as "Catiline's Rebellion"), which describes how the Roman noble Catiline took advantage of the dissatisfaction in the society at that time to launch a rebellion and finally died in battle. "Jugurthine War" describes how Rome sent troops to the Kingdom of Numidia in the late 2nd century BC, and its king Jugurtha led his army to resist and was ultimately defeated.
