罗马帝国的崛起(甲骨文系列)
(ancient Greece) Polybius
Polybius's most important historical work is The Histories or The Rise of the Roman Empire, which is one of the greatest historical works of mankind. The book begins with the First Carthage War, mainly narrates the history from 220 BC to 146 BC, and describes the rise of Roman hegemony in the West. Only the first 5 of the 40 volumes of the book have been preserved in their entirety and are narrated to 216 BC. The others exist in the form of fragments or quotations in the works of Livy and Plutarch. "History" is the most consistent with scientific methods and requirements among ancient Greek and Roman historical works, so it is known as the "historian among historians."
