This book is a literary criticism of Yang Wanli's works written by the famous sinologist and translator Shi Jirui. The author places Yang Wanli's poetry in the social and artistic background of twelfth-century China, and explores the inextricable connections between the author's literary pursuits and active political activities, religious factors, philosophical thoughts, calligraphy and painting arts.
