Green Plums Reflect Youth When I was young, I saw a green plum tree. I picked off a green plum from it, which was astringent and sour. It doesn't look ripe yet, I'll have to wait for it. When I broke it off again, although it was still a little sour, I tasted the sweetness and laughed. I broke it off some more and turned it into wine, which kept me strong throughout the summer.
