The writing is average, there are many places that are dark for the sake of being dark, and the psychological activities behind each sentence look awkward. There are also some obvious bugs, but they can barely be ignored.
Ji Lan was added as a best friend character to An Lingrong, but Ji Lan's character is quite strange, a bit like a combination of the best friends in Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace, she is aloof, gossips behind people's backs and looks down on others.
