There are a few kuaiwen who don't have ancient dramas, and many people are easily persuaded to give up in the early stage (although I think the early stage is also quite interesting). If I hadn't accidentally seen a Zhihu question discussing this book, I probably wouldn't have read it. It's not just a quick travel, but a novel designed using a famous scientific theory. I wonder if you have ever heard of a hypothesis. How do we prove that the world we live in is real, instead of being imprisoned by mad scientists who connect our brains to computers and actually live in a virtual world? The heroine Han Yanyan's fast-travel world exists like this, but the heroine is smart enough to reveal at the end of the third world that she is not in a fast-travel world at all, but in a high-tech simulated world. There are a lot of dream-within-a-dream designs that remind me of one of my favorite movies, Inception. The heroine is not invincible. She failed frequently in the world at the beginning. After decades of training in the fast-traveling world, she is finally qualified to compete with the scientists who imprisoned her. Watching the heroine gradually transform and finally get out of trouble after a thousand years, but only more than a year has passed in the real world, is really burning. The novel is not long, and although the timeline goes over a thousand years, the rest of the story is omitted, so the plot is not laggy at all, so you can get into it with confidence. Many people say that this is a feminist novel, and it does feel that way, but I think it is purely a philosophy of life rather than a feminist novel. No one is invincible at the beginning, but gradually reaches the top through the accumulation of preparation over time. The male protagonist appeared very late, and the characters who appeared before him were all smoke and mirrors haha. None of the characters in it are absolutely evil, including Leo, the scientist who imprisons the heroine, because everyone is a flesh-and-blood character with their own reasons for acting. After reading it, I was left with shock and reflection on what I should pursue in life.
One of my favorite quick reads. This one can surpass other fast-traveling games because: 1) The plot is terrible. It was so cruel that I cried in every life. The story of Ye Chen and Gu Jianan in the first life was so heartbreaking that I couldn't recall it for a long time after reading it. Many stories about Kuaishuan are enjoyable, but this one is really exciting and emotionally detailed in each story. If it were a stand-alone book, I would also like to read it (I prefer sadistic stories, haha). 2) The selected worlds are very interesting, and I have gone through all the themes I can think of. There are ten worlds in total: campus, cultivating immortals, rivers and lakes, interstellar, Feng Shui (this is my first time seeing this), apocalypse, western fantasy, the Republic of China (I became obsessed with the Republic of China for a while after reading it), and fantasy. Only there are no bosses and entertainment circles, hahaha, so the worlds designed are really novel. Every plot is very interesting. 3) There is a plot twist. Each life's routine is different. Later, the villain begins to awaken and has the memories of the previous life. In the end, he becomes a quick traveler and competes with the heroine. They keep guessing whether the other party is also a quick traveler hahaha. 4) The ending is unexpected. There are a lot of quick-travel novels that suck, but not only does this one not suck, it has an interesting ending. Jinjiang wouldn't give it five stars.
The reason I put off reading it for so long was because the title was so discouraging, but the book seemed boring. The result is not Mary Sue at all, but a more realistic genre that I like, almost a sequel to Han Yanyan and Officer above. After reading to the end, this book was completely beyond my imagination. It has counter-conventions that I like, reflections on human nature, and it also has the ability to move me and make me cry. What moved me this time was the family affection. The dependence between mother and daughter between Ms. Zhang Ya and Jiang Miao. When they finally discovered that they truly regarded each other as relatives, I burst into tears watching it.
What I like best is the kind of heroine who has no emotions at the beginning, but in the end she is tempered by too many worlds and becomes a little self-sublimated. This is it. The plot line is also my preference, with a touch of sadism. The values are also very upright. I am particularly disgusted with taking money by force. Many fast-travel relationships and plots make me feel baffled. The protagonists act overbearingly but will not be condemned. In this book, the straightforward choice of the indecisive male protagonist to withdraw made him understand his fault and revealed his gentle mask. Regarding the act of robbery, she also bluntly said that this was not affectionate, but selfish. The heroine also knew her own feelings clearly and did not condone such a male protagonist. This is why I admire one of the male protagonists, Jiang Yi. Just when you thought he was going dark and taking the route of robbery, he chose to leave very wisely and learned to let go so that the female protagonist could be fulfilled.
The kind of fast wear with a large pattern. But the process was a bit cruel, which made me feel heartbroken. Recently, I have become tired of watching fast-traveling movies and like to look for some with special settings. This is the first four fast-traveling worlds where the heroine got the wrong script due to a system failure and all failed. There is only one chance left. So after changing the system, the first four worlds merged into one, and the villains of the first four worlds had to be attacked in the same world background. In the early stage, the four people will not appear at the same time, but one by one. The heroine will die and be reborn in the middle, so she will still be able to travel quickly but in the same world. It is my favorite system text, with progress bars, dungeons, item rewards, etc.
It's been a long time since an article has shocked me so thoroughly, and it's been a long time since I've been moved emotionally and shed tears by the characters in the book. It seems that only Sleeve can do it in recent years, starting from "The Man Who Can't Be Defeated" back then. Just when I thought I was used to the author's books, there were new innovations that took me out of my comfort zone.
As the name suggests, each fast-travel world is a game with several players who are the same as the heroine, both men and women, so I like this framework very much. I'm really tired of watching fast travel without innovation. Su He's strategy that follows the same routine in every world is inevitably boring. What I like most about the multi-player setting is the process of reasoning who are the other players after arriving in each world, and the surviving players can also go to the next world together, and then some new players will join in.
A very nice post-apocalyptic article. Even without Goldfinger or superhumans with evolved powers, the plot was still so exciting and compact that I watched it all night long.
