Fifteen years later, Shen Qingwu, who has become a well-known architectural designer, returned to China due to his grandfather's last wish. When he was sorting out old things, he saw the sachet again and unexpectedly discovered that behind this half-line of the poem was the endless waiting text in Wang Wei's "Farewell" - "When the White Clouds Endless".
This discovery was like a belated thunder, shattering the dusty memories of years. He tried to find Lin Suqiu, whom he had lost contact with for a long time, but learned that her family was in decline, and she had already married and moved north due to the pressure of life. Through a phone call spanning the north and south, he heard her calm and distant voice, and the past affection and forbearance seemed to be just his own illusion.
Shen Qingwu couldn't let go and decided to go north, embarking on a journey of pursuit and retrospect. Step by step, he approached her life trajectory over the past fifteen years, and like a puzzle, he gradually restored the true story that he had missed after parting: how a woman silently digested all her emotions amidst the changing times and personal difficulties, and turned that unfinished poem into a silent and tenacious life. This is a belated interpretation about misunderstanding, regret, growth and letting go.
