The early summer rain falls on Ginkgo Alley. Shen Yan meets Lu Ze on a narrow road while repairing old things. The parting and misunderstandings from seven years ago emerge. From the conflicts in the renovation project, to the memories evoked by old objects and the studio, to the confrontation on a rainy night, and the revelation of unsent letters, the two men restored the old objects and emotional rifts, rekindled their agreement, and allowed the love and commitment that was seven years late to coexist and grow together when the ginkgo leaves turned yellow.
Purpose: To use the restoration of old objects as a metaphor for emotional healing, to show the power of love and commitment accumulated over time. Even after misunderstandings and separations, true emotions can return to perfection through understanding and perseverance.
