As a struggling sophomore in the history college, Xu He wanted to apply for a scholarship from the school, but was told that his credits were missing by two points due to the teacher's mistake.
After finally getting a job as a spectator at a basketball game to earn credits, Xu He was so bored that he dunked his hands on the basketball court that night when he heard a sound like a baby crying. He looked up and saw some huge birds that looked like birds but not birds, and looked like beasts but not beasts hovering in the sky.
Sensing something was wrong, Xu He quickly ran out of the basketball court. When she ran downstairs of the dormitory panting heavily, she saw elephant-like beasts entering their dormitory and nearby dormitories.
Xu He was forced to enter the dormitory building because she could not contact her roommates. She met a man in black clothes in the dormitory building and learned from the man that the huge birds and elephant-like beasts she saw tonight were monsters.
