Dessert chef Lin Yan spends his days with icing in his own "Sweet Time" dessert shop. Su Xiao, a kindergarten teacher from the kindergarten next door, is a regular customer of the store and buys cookies every week to reward the students. The two bonded over desserts and gradually became familiar with the details of each other's lives. During the autumnal equinox, Su Xiao asked Lin Yan for help in order to fulfill the birthday wish of a "cake that tells stories" for Xiaoyu, a boy in the class whose parents were not around. Lin Yan stayed up late using fondant and icing sugar to recreate the Little Bear Dessert Shop in the picture book, and thoughtfully engraved blessings on it. After that, the two interacted more and more frequently. Lin Yan would cooperate with Su Xiao to bring the children to the store to make handmade biscuits, and Su Xiao would also share interesting stories about the children. On the winter solstice, Lin Yan took the warm sweet-scented osmanthus sugar cake handed down from his grandfather and took the initiative to go to the kindergarten to listen to the children singing nursery rhymes. The two gentle people found a small happiness that belonged to each other in the sweetness of the icing sugar and the warmth of the nursery rhymes.
