Su Wan, an ancient book restorer, met architect Lu Shiyan because of an old diary from the Republic of China. The two argued over their restoration ideas, but discovered a surprising connection between the yellowed pages: the war lovers in the diary were actually Su Wan's grandmother and Lu Shiyan's grandfather.
