Photographer & Traveler
I traveled to Europe with a backpack full of film, just to capture the beauty of light and shadow flowing between the dawn and dusk of Renaissance architecture.
The backpack contains maps and longings, and I am roaming alone to measure the European customs.
The originally parallel journeys intertwined due to an accident, connecting three romantic relationships across the city.
St. Petersburg is the prologue. When the morning light of the Winter Palace spreads across the dome, the moment Xie Chu leaned over to adjust the camera, Lu Yu, who was passing by in a hurry with a map on his back, burst into view. That startling glance was quietly hidden in the folds of time.
Florence is the home court, and the dawn mist has not yet cleared. In front of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Lu Yu, holding a hot croissant, accidentally bumps into Xie Chu's frame.
Since then, the aroma of old books in the antique bookstore at the end of the alley, the texture of the fabrics in the old tailor shop by the Arno River, and the steaming cocoa in Michelangelo Square have all become the mark of their journey together.
His film roll was gradually filled with her figure; her handbook was quietly filled with the moments he had taken candidly.
Paris is finally the final chapter, with the afterglow of the Eiffel Tower filling our shoulders, and soft conversations echoing among the columns of the Louvre. Two hearts that are used to walking alone slowly get closer to each other side by side, and finally understand the tenderness in each other's eyes.
