Luna, a little fox who lost her mother on a snowy night, in order to find the red tail arc left by her mother on the ice lake, walked through the singing wind, the talking oak tree, and the market specializing in shadows, using memory and forgetfulness as chips in exchange for access to the cabin on the back of the moon.
She discovered that her mother was never "recovered" but was "told" - every time she was told, her mother's red tail sprouted again in the hearts of strange readers and became a new moonlight tree.
When there are enough stories, Luna will grow a glowing heart in her dream forest, and upgrade "going home" to an infinite journey that "allows everyone to turn their loss into an entrance."
