My dream of Laogang Tea Restaurant finally came true.
More than thirty years ago, I was the girl who watched old Hong Kong dramas by the TV every night.
Different from the yellow mud houses, fire pits, dry latrines, firewood, and coal cores at home... Different from the navy blue overalls of parents, 28-year-old bicycles, and plastic shopping baskets... In the TV series, Hong Kong's suits and leather shoes, luxurious private cars, and elegant villas and bungalows, Hong Kong's Central and Queen's Road, are all paradise-like places. I guess the wind there is fragrant, the air is sweet, the streets must be spotless, and every store is surrounded by pearls and greenery. Looking up, there are flowers blooming on every balcony. Oh, Hong Kong, the veritable Pearl of the Orient!
