In a stone-walled apartment in Florence, foreign student Lin always felt that his neighbor Yu Wanxiang Tuan's shadow was immersed in the fog. He always watered the clematis bush that had lasted for ten years on the balcony. The shallow scar on the tiger's mouth was glowing blue. The inside of the lemon candy paper he handed was printed with the same star pattern pattern as the sticker on Lin's suitcase.
At first it was the blue light leaking from the study, the intermittent weird prayers in the confessional, and then it was the old woman chanting "Mr. Star" - the name that looked exactly like Yu Wan and disappeared suddenly twenty years ago. Lin pieced together the truth bit by bit under the faded black paper of the star chart, in the interlayer of the book without a cover, and on the cyan crystals entwined with clematis roots: Yu Wan was a clone, a creation of a being called "Anasta" who fought against loneliness, and those identities that were split into "divination" and "theologian" were just a long self-hide and seek.
When blue blood splashed on the star map, and when the memory of three hundred years of loneliness slid down his throat and into his chest, Lin realized that Anasta's original intention in creating everything was just to fear that the star map was too cold and the clematis was too quiet. He thought he was the one who revealed the mystery, but in the end he became the lonely heir. In Yuwan's gradually awakening self, in the residual warmth of Anasta's words "remember to water" before dissipating, and in the heartbeat in his chest that belonged to both the "creator" and the "created", Lin finally saw clearly: the so-called existence is just that everyone clumsily fights against the absurdity of "existing alone", using clones, star maps, and a bunch of clematis that can never wait for a co-viewer.
This is not a subversion, but a long process of recognition - claiming the sincerity hidden in every shadow, claiming the weight called "loneliness" that creation and creation carry together.
