Synopsis
In early 1950, Linjiang County, a small town in northern Guangxi, was freezing and the smoke of the bandit suppression had not yet cleared. On the edge of the county town, the "Fuchang Textile Factory", the fortress where Fujian businessman Zhang Wei relied on, was dragged into cold fear by a bizarre death. Young female worker Li Mei, a mother who struggled to survive for her five-year-old baby, was found hanged under the tangled old banyan tree in the backyard of the factory. The police hastily ruled it a suicide, but the haze has enveloped this closed kingdom like gangrene. The grief-stricken husband Wang Qiang dug out a diary soaked in blood and tears among his wife's belongings, revealing Zhang Wei's animalistic face beneath his sanctimonious appearance - long-term violations and disgusting control. What is even more alarming is that the diary contains a vague mention of a fatal "transaction" involving theft of materials or misappropriation of state assets. The threat of death for Li Mei's possession of evidence appears on the paper. At the same time, the ignorant Xiaobao always listened to the howling mountain wind and murmured: "Mom is talking in the wind... She talks about pain... She talks about darkness... She says 'give it back to me'..." The child's words are unbridled, but they are like ice picks piercing people's hearts, pointing to the ominous truth. In order to quell the boiling panic and rumors, the calculating factory owner Zhang Wei invited the wandering Taoist priest Chen Xuanming. However, during the ritual, Daozhang Chen sternly shouted, "There is deep resentment here, and it's not just one person! Man-made disasters are hidden, and chaos is caused by the underworld!", Pointing the finger directly at the ghosts in people's hearts. The "haunted" mystery carefully woven by Zhang Wei began to get out of control. And Li Mei's closest colleague Liu Yang, a young man with a secret in his eyes, is quietly laying out his own chess game, vowing to seek justice for Li Mei's unjust death. When Xiaobao clearly identified in front of everyone the fierce quarrel and beating between his mother and "fat uncle" Zhang Wei before her death; when Daochang Chen used "wind whispers" during the crazy ritual to convey the message of "injustice... Account... Black... Hole... Evidence... In... The wind... Stone..."; When Wang Qiang and Liu Yang, guided by the diary and the intervention of the new regime, approached the evidence that was enough to crucify Zhang Wei... A storm intertwined with the torrent of the times, class oppression, distortion of human nature and unresolved resentment finally exploded in this foggy northern Guangxi factory. The grievances of female workers are expressed in the wind, the whispers of childish children penetrate the fog, and the mottoes of Taoist priests speak directly to the hearts of the people. When the dust settles, legal sanctions arrive, and a new life begins in the throes of pain, does the whistling mountain wind really take away all the secrets? In Xiaobao's ears, what does the lingering sound in the wind of "It's so crowded down there" portend? "Wind Whispers of Injustice" is a bloody past story that took place in a factory in northern Guangxi in 1950, narrated by the deceased through the wind. Intent: The injustices at the bottom level accuse through the wind, the struggles and accusations and cold echoes in the blood stained human nature under the strangulation of power.
