Synopsis
In the autumn when I was sixteen years old, I was sitting in the stands beside the playground of Yun'an No. 1 Middle School, and for the first time I discovered that the sky could be so blue. Later I thought, maybe it wasn't because of the blue sky, but because I finally learned to look up. My name is Jiang Jianzhi. Before coming to Yun'an, I didn't know that one person could have so many things at the same time - that someone would remember that I loved eating the dry pot on the second floor of the cafeteria, that I could laugh until I couldn't stand up because of a strange-shaped cloud on the way to school, that I could argue with my deskmate over a geography question till my face turned red, and then receive the surrender figure he drew on the back of the draft paper. My deskmate is called Li Luyang. On the first day of the second year of high school, the class teacher said that there was going to be a transfer student in the class, from Hong Kong. I was lowering my head to write my name on the title page of the textbook when I heard a voice say: "Hello everyone, my name is Li Luyang." I raised my head and saw someone standing at the door of the classroom. The boy I had secretly watched many times in the summer cram school, the boy I thought I would never see again, was standing there, wearing the uniform of Yun'an No. 1 Middle School, buttoned up properly, looking across most of the classroom, and fell on me. "Jiang Jianzhi," the head teacher flipped through the roster, "there is an empty seat next to you. Li Luyang should sit next to you first." He came over, sat down, and smiled at me. The leaves of the phoenix tree outside the window are shining green, and the cicadas are chirping one after another. Everything looks like summer. The days passed slowly, and half of them seemed to pass in the blink of an eye. It was only a long time later that I realized that this is youth. It's not any big thing, just many, many small things piled together to make up the three years we have walked together. Later, the college entrance examination was over. We sit in the same stands and watch the same sky. He said: "Jiang Jianzhi, I am going back to Hong Kong." I nodded and said, "I know." There were things we didn't say. But that summer, every leaf in Yun'an No. 1 Middle School knew it. Many years later, when I think of those days again, of him sitting next to me, of us fighting for a question until the bell rang, and of the tape he secretly put in the hole in the desk on my birthday - I will think of that autumn when I was sixteen. I didn't know at that time that some people come into your life just to let you know that the sky can be so blue. On the day we met, the sun was indeed dazzling. Purpose: cherish the present moment
