After graduating from college, I couldn't find a job. The mountain is at the end of its rope! In an unexpected turn of events, an opportunity to teach as a substitute came unexpectedly. With tension and unknowns, I stepped onto the stage for the first time - a rural school jokingly called the "entry wasteland". From a rookie scribbling down lesson plans and explaining the content in ten minutes, to cleverly integrating literary stories to attract students; from being embarrassed and frustrated by "fighting" due to provocation by students, to observing a famous teacher's class and feeling ashamed; from being moved and restrained after receiving a childish love letter, to conquering colleagues with chess skills and becoming a "chess overlord"... The journey of a young teacher is filled with laughter and tears.
I personally experienced the helplessness of associate subject teachers, the absurdity of exchanging cigarettes for salary, the hardship of living on campus, and even witnessed the chaos in the classroom and the numbness of senior teachers. However, the children's innocent "Teacher is good", their vying for intimacy during class, and their curious eyes illuminated under the microscope have become the warmest light on the dark background. This is a growth documentary full of earthy atmosphere and imprint of the times. It shows how a confused young man found the first light of life amidst embarrassment, frustration and slight emotion on a rural podium.
Intention: Barren soil cultivates teachers' hearts, and the glimmer of light illuminates the path of growth
