Youth is a journey that does not require planning the route in advance. We hold a thin ticket, hold up the sail of growth in ignorance and longing, and sail toward the unknown in the vast sea of people. The sails may still be stained with the recklessness of youth, and the ripples of the oars across the water contain the ripples of the first heartbeat, the astringent taste of frustration for the first time, and the burning heat of staying up all night for a certain goal for the first time.
Sailing doesn't always have favorable winds. Sometimes it is a sudden heavy rain that makes the sails crackle, making you unable to see the direction due to the shaking; sometimes it is a shoal covered with reefs, and the dull sound of the bottom of the boat scraping against the stones will make you wonder if you have chosen the wrong channel; sometimes, your companions will wave goodbye at a certain fork, leaving you alone to face the surging waves. Those difficulties you gritted your teeth to get through late at night, those tears you secretly wiped away while hiding under the quilt, and those hurdles you thought you couldn't overcome, all made you wonder, would it have been easier if you had chosen another path?
But please believe that you don't have to look back and blame yourself at the time. Standing in the later years, you may be able to see clearly the youthfulness and limitations of that time, but you may not be able to recreate the courage and persistence of that time. The you who lingered at the crossroads for a long time, the one who gritted his teeth and rushed forward under pressure, the one who wanted to try again even if he was bruised and bruised, was actually using all his knowledge and strength at the time to make the choice that was most true to his heart. Just like playing chess, every move on the chessboard cannot be regretted, but every move hides the consideration and determination at the time.
Keep moving forward with this magnanimity of "no regrets". There is no need to dwell on the rights and wrongs of the past. The detours you have taken and the grievances you have suffered will turn into ballast stones at the bottom of the ship, allowing you to stand firmer in the subsequent storms. When one day, you finally pass through the fog and reach the sea area you once looked at in your dreams, you will find that all the difficulties and obstacles have become medals - they allow you to see the direction of your true passion, and they also give you the confidence to shine in your own field, like a lighthouse, shining your own dazzling light. After all, the voyage of youth is never about reaching a perfect end point, but about becoming a braver and more determined self on the way to riding the wind and waves.
This voyage may not have an end, but every step on the waves is the best answer to youth.
Intention: Always remember what you want to do and become who you want to be
