In a Mediterranean town in the 19th century, French aristocrat Charles dived into this sunny shallow sea like a deep-sea fish. His pale complexion and melancholy temperament are in sharp contrast to the vitality of the Italian painter Carlo's wheat-colored skin. Two souls who should not have met have developed a forbidden feeling between the canvas and the waves.
Just like a deep-sea fish overdrawing its life for a shallow-sea fish, Charles rebelled against his family's marriage arrangement for love; and Carlo is like the persistent shallow-sea fish who, after discovering that Charles's father was the enemy who killed his father, still pursues the aristocratic world without hesitation. When Charles was forced to return to Paris, he cut his wrists in the bathtub to complete his final resistance. His body, like the bones held by a deep-sea fish, returned to Carlo's arms forever.
The summer of the 19th century is over. In the coffin that was brought back, the blue of the Mediterranean was condensed on Charles's wrists. Carlo's palette has since added a color called "Noble White" - an eternity made from pearl powder and ashes.
Intention: Amidst the shackles of oppression and hatred, true love can still shine out the most noble brilliance of human nature.
