In midsummer in Anyue, the sun is like boiled copper juice, pouring on the gray playground of the Experimental Middle School.
The lemon-flavored boy Song Guizhang always hides a bitten jelly in his sleeve; the AD calcium milk-flavored boy Nie Xingyuan hangs the unfinished half bottle in the side pocket of his backpack, making jingles all the way.
Separated by two meters of rain eaves and the shadow of a row of sycamore trees, they pressed their love into the lightest breath, like breaking their heartbeats into stamps that refused to fall to the ground.
The story begins on the first day of military training, as slow as the lingering sound of a cicada. Every time they rub shoulders and every time they sit side by side, it is only enough to keep the temperature of your fingertips in the air for a second, but it is enough to be played back repeatedly in the years to come.
Later——
Song Guizhang went to the Central Academy of Fine Arts in the north, and Nie Xingyuan went to Peking University, one in the south and one in the north. Misunderstandings and pride cut the line.
Lemon jelly has become frosty in the northern wind, and AD calcium milk has lost its sweetness in the southern rain.
But Anyue's Wanfeng remembered that in July of that year, they wrote their names on the back of the same graduation photo.
Many years later, when the art exhibition at CAFA and the lecture at Peking University opened on the same day and in the same city, they finally tied the broken threads again - the broken mirror reunited, the sound of cicadas testified, and the evening breeze signed off for the rest of their lives.
