Story summary
Cheng Sui, a doctoral student in the Department of Modern History, traveled to the fictional dynasty "Zhaoming" because of touching a page of blood-stained history, and became the daughter of a guilty minister. The original owner committed suicide after leaving a blood letter saying "I would rather be a soul without an owner than write a history against my will", and she was forced to live as a "female official", struggling to survive in the treacherous palace.
