[The gentle and paranoid illustrator is attacked by the taciturn and sensitive store clerk]
1v1 HE|Reunion|Two-way redemption
At three o'clock in the morning, Xu Yi met Wen Yan at the convenience store.
One is a night shift clerk whose edges have been smoothed by life, and the other is an illustrator who cannot draw colors. They were like two parallel lines that briefly intersected under the warm light of the convenience store.
Xu Yi's sketchbook has a regular visitor, and Wen Yan's paint tray always has a touch of cobalt blue that cannot be mixed out. No one told the truth until that rainy night when Wen Yan's drawings were blown into the shop by the wind.
Later, Xu Yi's father came to visit with gambling debts, and Wen Yan's agent maliciously promoted "unrequited love fantasies." The neon lights of the convenience store went out, and the two parallel lines went away.
Three years later, we met again at a used bookstall. Wen Yan's eyes were red: "I have been painting with cool colors for three years, just waiting for you to give me back the warm colors."
Xu Yi looked at the person in front of him and finally understood: some encounters are destined to go through separation, and some warmth will eventually light up again.
"You always say that the light in the convenience store is too cold," Wen Yan grabbed his wrist, "but it was the warmest three o'clock in the morning I have ever seen."
