"I was a little excited, but it was overwhelming from the beginning."
When the Sorting Hat shouted "Slytherin", the whole auditorium was silent. Enid Elliot, a Muggle-born, tightened her grip on her brand new wand, facing the contemptuous glances from all directions. No one thought that this seemingly gentle black-haired girl would make the entire snake farm pay attention to her in just a few months.
The Potions underground classroom was always cold and damp. As Professor Snape's black robes billowed past her, Enid smelled the scent of wormwood and parchment for the first time. His sarcasm was like a poisoned silver needle, but when she brewed the potion perfectly, there was an almost invisible wavering.
"You always remind me of..." His voice stopped abruptly, "A person who should not be mentioned."
The year the war broke out, snowflakes fell on the ruins of Hogwarts. Enid knelt in the ruins, trembling fingers touching the corners of the man's cold lips. She finally understood that some love is like the moonlight in the forbidden forest - you can see it, but you can never catch it.
"There is a whole war between us."
Intention: We think we are brewing love, but in fact we are just brewing a potion of regret that has no solution.
