Xi Fanjin experienced bullying by her classmates and neglect by her parents, turning her into a girl with low self-esteem, introversion, and living in fantasy. Later, her parents sent her back to her hometown to let her live independently, hoping that the familiar environment during her childhood could make up for some of the emptiness in her heart.
