When he was six years old, Jiang Tuo (zǐ) followed his parents and left his grandmother's house in the countryside where he had lived for six years. Also bidding farewell was his childhood friend Mo Linchuan.
Jiang Tuo couldn't bear the sadness of his little friend, so he gave Mo Linchuan the precious little stone he had treasured for a long time.
From then on, the two of them never saw each other again.
Until he was seventeen years old, a new neighbor moved next door to Mo Linchuan.
