Introduction to the simplified version of "Echoes of Tomorrow"
Former data engineer Chen Mo lives in seclusion in an old street to repair old things, but due to the visit of investigative reporter Lin Wei, he is forced to restart his memory of the former company's core project "Deep Web Prism". The project was once shut down due to a mysterious "system anomaly", but now, a series of strange data incidents related to the project's legacy technology have surfaced: untraceable cyber attacks, abnormal data flows, and even signs of suspected technology loss of control.
The two went from the mechanical gears of the old street to the code abyss of the digital world. During the investigation, they discovered that the sealed system never seemed to really sleep, and its derivative technologies were being abused, brewing crises that threatened reality. They must piece together the truth amid capital obstruction and technological black boxes, and face the most acute ethical torture in the data age - when technology has the possibility of "thinking", how should humans maintain the boundaries of out-of-control?
Keywords: near-future suspense, data ethics, dual protagonist investigation, soft science fiction reality metaphor.
Intention: Focus on the shadow of data technology in the near future, and explore the game and ethical persistence of human nature against technology out of control in the development of science and technology.
