On the apocalyptic ruins where civilization has collapsed and zombies ("eclipse puppets") are rampant, the life of senior florist Mai Duo is pushed to a completely different purgatory by two paranoid souls.
Qiu Yang, a "semi-finished product" who crawled out from a mountain of blood and a cold laboratory. He is as pale as a ghost and has the terrifying power to control the eclipse puppets, but he is the "perfect hub" carefully cultivated by Lin Wei, the mastermind behind the scenes. The only warmth under his cold shell was an old handkerchief embroidered with blue sunflowers that Mai Duo had given him when he was a child. This glimmer of light that Mai Duo had forgotten became his only obsession in his twisted life. In order to protect Mai Duo under the control of his "mother" Lin Wei, he was willing to become a puppet, endure the severe pain of the self-destruction program implanted in his spine, and control the eclipse puppet to launch precise and cruel "critical point tests" on the survivor reserve - repeatedly crushing the human spirit to the edge of collapse, just to satisfy Lin Wei's crazy ambition to collect "ultimate human nature data".
When Mai Duo accidentally falls into Lin Wei's hands and becomes a bargaining chip to coerce Qiu Yang, Qiu Yang's forbearance turns into a sophisticated and ruthless counterattack.
However, the "way to live" that Qiu Yang exchanged for destruction was another prison. Mai Duo, who returned to the reserve, was reduced from a florist to a living "medicine guide" because of the precious anti-viral serum contained in her body, and her blood was continuously extracted in the isolation ward. The threat outside the protected area disappeared, but the chains named "science" and "survival needs" firmly fixed her on the cold specimen table.
Intent: An apocalyptic fable about twisted love, scientific madness and human alienation. It tells how a monster sacrifices destruction to the sun, but the sun still cannot shine through the never-ending specimen stand built by fear and greed.
