Cheng Su (protagonist): 27 years old, community psychological counselor (side job: helping elderly people living alone sort out their old belongings). When I was in high school, I witnessed my mother's death in a car accident (the beginning of my memory disorder), and I became sensitive to "memory" from then on. Two years ago, I accidentally discovered that I could read prism fragments. Recently, I was emotionally triggered when I was helping a neighbor deal with a family conflict, and I generated the fragment for the first time (content of the fragment: my mother said before she died, "What you see is not the truth"), starting the main plot. ("Su" means "retrospect", which fits his core motivation of exploring the truth of memory.)
Gu Zhao (female protagonist): 24 years old, forensic doctor and intern agent of the "Pure Memory Bureau". Her father was a member of the first generation of the "Pure Memory Bureau" (due to investigating the disappearance of the prism merchant). He has a calm personality and carries the "memory lock" left by his father (which can temporarily seal the activity of fragments). He met Cheng Su due to the "recovery of abnormal fragments" incident, and gradually discovered that there is a secret connection between their memories. ("Zhao" means "Zhao Xue" and "Clear", echoing her mission to find the truth for her father.)
Shen Yan (villain): 45 years old, the leader of the "Prism Merchant", and a former professor of brain science (expelled for academic fraud). Mastering the "memory fusion" technology (splicing multiple fragments into a "fake life"), the goal is to use "perfect memory" to control the elite (such as replacing the memories of politicians and entrepreneurs and making them puppets). ("Yan" is related to academics, which coincides with his identity as a former professor; the surname "Shen" shows calmness, which is consistent with the villain's trait of hiding his identity.)
Intention: What is more important than the truth is the emotion carried by memory; what is more precious than strength is the courage to choose to protect.
