I spent half my life running for a grand escape.
Escape from that city, escape from that unbearable past, and escape from... That boy in memory.
Fourteen years later, I returned with all my achievements and hardships, only to find that fate was like a huge circle. All my "escapes" were just to return to him in another way.
He is no longer the boy playing football in the rain, but a silent man who can support me.
He looked at me like I was looking at a lost treasure.
But I still don't know why he let go of my hand.
I don't even know what price he paid to wait for this almost impossible reunion.
If I could do it all over again, I just hope that I would have understood it earlier.
Intention: Real growth is not escape, but return. Throughout our lives, we are looking for a way back to our hearts, to shake hands and reconcile with our scarred, younger selves.
