Qi Yue is a talented commercial photographer who is good at capturing fleeting moments in the city, but he gradually loses his creative passion in shooting day after day. Until one day, when he was shooting scenes in a coffee shop, he was struck by the impromptu performance of pianist Song Xingchen - the melody was like a ray of light, awakening his long-dormant inspiration.
Song Xingchen, a low-key and sensitive musician, uses the keys of the piano to tell the unspoken thoughts. He never thought that someone would understand his music so accurately through the lens. When Qi Yue invited him to participate in the "Voice of the City" photography project, he hesitated - because art has always been a lonely journey for him.
From coffee shops to abandoned factories, from piano rooms to late-night streets, the camera and the notes are intertwined. Two people who are used to expressing emotions in different ways see themselves in each other's works. And when Qi Yue unexpectedly discovered that Song Xingchen was actually his close friend "Xingchen" who had lost contact with him at the art forum many years ago, a dusty tacit understanding was revived again...
