A startling glimpse of the deep boudoir in the south of the Yangtze River. Painter Qing Wu encounters Shen Yuan, the daughter of a waiter, in the garden. The ink droplets from his painting stain her heart, marking the beginning of her fate. Inside and outside the whitewashed wall, he wrote to describe the moments when she was folding plum blossoms, reading, and frightened by butterflies; she picked up a needle and embroidered all the images of him frowning, holding a pen, facing the wind. Silent scrolls and silk threads weave forbidden emotions.
On a thundery and rainy night, a cry of "Ah Yuan" outside the wall, a magnolia hairpin, and the sentence "You will know the arrival of spring when you see your eyebrows raised" became the last tenderness. Five days later, the torn "Exhibition of Eyebrows" came back stained with blood - her waist and abdomen were broken in the painting, and the cinnabar was mixed with the wet blood, soaking into the remaining silk.
After five years in the palace, Shen Yuan became the imperial concubine, and her heart felt like a dry well. But in the imperial study room, I was surprised to see the painting "Exhibiting Eyebrows": the cracks had been carefully repaired, hanging high behind the emperor, and the painter's signature was covered with a dazzling cinnabar royal seal! A yellowed old letter at the corner of the case revealed the bloody truth: It turned out that Qingwu was ordered to "find special colors", and every stroke was a reminder. He tore up the painting, stained it with blood, broke his bad relationship, and was eventually sentenced to death. The last poem is about gouging out the heart: "If I knew that painting you would harm you, I would rather gouge out your eyes and cut off your hands!"
The emperor watched her collapse with cold eyes: "This wolf peeked into the inner palace, and its crime must be punished." Shen Yuan clutched the blood-stained suicide note, vomited blood and fell to the ground. The magnolia hairpin is cold against the wrist - it turns out that the drop of ink on the heart has already foreshadowed the ink-soaked, blood-soaked ending.
