Hello everyone, I am the author, aloof human being.
This article was just a short story at first, but I ended up writing a lot of it without realizing it (much more than I expected), and it was the first time I wrote a non-short story.
"Before the Midsummer Rainstorm" started writing in April 2025, with less than 90,000 words. However, because my brain really has no ink, it will be completed in two days this year.
For me, this book is certainly not the end, but it is definitely the starting point. I can feel the writing style being stiff and awkward, but I still want to take some of it out with me.
It's not just me who wants to fulfill my own inspiration. Every character I write is conscious. I want to be their connection to the world.
This is originally a third-person perspective, and the third-person perspective is limited. There are some foreshadowings left unfilled, and I want to give everyone room to imagine, such as: What is the relationship between Wen Jing's grandma and Shen Lianyi? The main reason is because Wen Jing does not have a God's perspective, so she focuses on an "autobiography" from a child who was not very lucky.
The song Wen Jing and Shen Lianyi listened to at the beach in the article was "ByTheWater" from The Walters.
I recently saw a sentence when I was surfing the Internet, "How many ripples do people need to make water flow smoothly?" At that time, I thought it was particularly suitable for us Xiao Jing and Ah Shui. Maybe for them, having just one ripple is enough.
If the real ending is not what they want, then they will always be together in different worlds.
