When she was five years old, a car accident took away Xia Haitang's parents and she was abandoned in an orphanage. In order to survive, she hid her innocence and protected herself with sharpness, until she met the taciturn Lu Jin, a boy who used paintbrushes instead of words. They cling to each other in loneliness and agree to leave together one day.
Fate gave her a twist: she was adopted by painter Lin Yue and lived a good life, but she and Lu Jin were forced to separate. When she fled her new home in the rain, but reunited with Lu Jin who was looking for her in the abandoned church, she realized that the real home is those who are willing to run for you in the rain.
Lu Jin brings his autistic sister Xiaomei into her new life, and the three of them grow up like weeds. When Haitang and Lu Jin finally expressed their feelings to each other, a sudden earthquake took away her life. Desperate Lu Jin chose to die for love, leaving Xiaomei to scatter their ashes into the sea.
"In the next life, we will not be orphans."
"Okay, let's make two crabapples with side-by-side stems."
"We will meet in a place where there is no darkness."
Purpose: Happy every day
