A bookstore opened on the corner of Lucchi Lane.
Strangely, there are more customers in the bookstore at night than during the day.
Insomniacs, lovelorn people, people who have lost their jobs, people who have just had surgery... Like fallen leaves blown away by the night wind, they quietly piled up at the door of this store. When the street lights came on, they pushed the door open one by one and went in.
The bookstore has no signboard, only a yellowed note posted on the glass door:
"This store is not closed, but please leave before dawn."
The shop owner is a young man with cold eyebrows and a faint greenish black under his eyes. He never took the initiative to greet guests. He just sat quietly in the corner and read one old book after another. Occasionally he looked up at the wall clock - the hands always stopped at 3:17, as if someone had deliberately pressed it. Beside him, there often lies a silver-gray cat. The cat is very quiet and only closes the fairy tale book with its tail when someone tries to open it.
Until one rainy night, a girl came in dripping wet, holding a stack of water-soaked manuscript papers in her arms.
"Can I borrow a pen?" She asked, rainwater dripping from her eyelashes on the counter. "My story... Only has one ending left."
The man was silent for a moment and took out a pen from the drawer.
Outside the window, the rain seemed to be falling a little less.
