Bai Yan fell from a rich young master to a down-and-out young man. In the dark alleys of the cold rain in late autumn, he was tortured all over by life. He avoided Gu Chen's approach, not wanting him to see his miserable state - his father's company went bankrupt, his parents left, and he had no fixed place to live. Stealing bread and rummaging through garbage became his new daily life.
And Gu Chen, always carrying the persistence and affection of his youth, walked firmly towards Bai Yan through the wind and rain of the years. He guarded silently, using his body temperature to warm Bai Yan's closed heart, and when Bai Yan was at his most desperate, he declared with a bloody kiss: "What I want is never your identity or your family, I only want you."
After moving into Gu Chen's apartment, Bai Yan discovered that the other person's seemingly stable life also hid unknown scars and anxieties. Two scarred souls clumsily move forward on the road to mutual redemption, licking each other's wounds. From dark alleys to warm little homes, they gradually become honest with each other in the trivialities of life, face family grudges, intimidation and threats together, and finally run to the seaside hand in hand, in a brand new city, using love as light, turning the brokenness and darkness of the past into bright stars that illuminate the rest of their lives.
Purpose: The purpose of "Dark Alley and Starlight" is mainly to show the redemptive power between people and the persistence of hope. Through the experiences of two teenagers, Bai Yan and Gu Chen, in difficult situations, the story expresses the theme that even in darkness, they can rely on each other's love and companionship to find the way forward, heal their inner wounds, and achieve self-growth, conveying a positive, warm and healing belief.
