Seventeen-year-old Luo Xia is the most inconspicuous and transparent person on campus. He is used to recording life with a paintbrush, until the appearance of transfer student Yu Jingmo breaks his peace. Yu Jingmo has excellent grades and a cool temperament. He always has a faint scent of cedar, but he hides an unknown secret - congenital heart disease and a misunderstood past.
From the encounter in the library to the company on the playground, the two gradually got closer. Luo Xia captured Yu Jingmo's side face with a paintbrush, and Yu Jingmo gave him an understanding he had never had before in silence. However, the shadow of the disease, campus rumors and family barriers made this relationship full of twists and turns. When Yu Jingmo's condition suddenly deteriorates, Luo Xia must choose between art and emotion, cowardice and courage.
This is a coming-of-age story about youth, illness and silent confession. The chirping of cicadas in summer will eventually fall silent, but some emotions, even if silent, will leave eternal traces in the heart.
