In the southern alleys of the 1990s, the naughty boy Jiang Xu and the silent Tai Chi boy Bo Huai met amidst the chirping of cicadas and heavy rain. One uses his guitar to fight his father's fists, and the other uses sword moves to break free from the shackles of domestic violence. The shadow of a broken family makes them mirror images of each other. From the secret resonance of exchanging tapes, to the fierce confrontation with swords to protect friends on a rainy night, to the moment of breaking out of the cocoon when tearing up concert tickets and burning letters from mothers, the two used rebellious blades to cut through secular disciplines amidst the roar of rock music and the power of Tai Chi push hands. When the wild wind picked up the cicadas on the bluestone floor, two trapped beast-like teenagers rushed towards the dawn with scars and dreams, letting the burning matches and fluttering Tai Chi suits become the clarion call for the collapse of the old era. This is a youthful elegy about pain, redemption and freedom. In the folds of the times, a hot medal belonging to the rebel is written.
Purpose: "Youth's resistance to shackles". Through the growth of Jiang Xu and Bo Huai, it shows how teenagers use rebellion to break the shackles of family and time.
