The little rabbit Fluffy discovered a rainbow in the sky in the morning after the rain, and asked her mother what was at the end of the rainbow. Her mother encouraged her to find the answer on her own.
Velvet set off with a carrot backpack and met Squirrel Squeak, Turtle Manman and Fox Huohuo. Each friend gave a different answer to the end of the rainbow.
During the search, Velvet accidentally fell into a stream and was washed away by the water, putting her in danger.
Fox Huohuo ignored the convention of "a fox chasing a rabbit" and jumped into the water to rescue Fluffy, showing his kind nature.
Fluffy discovers that the rainbow disappears as the sun moves, and understands that the true end of the rainbow is friendship and courage.
Fluffy takes her new friends home to share her adventures with her mother, who prepares carrot cake for all the little animals.
